Kevin is the owner and director of Core Dynamics.  He has worked closely with Michele Larsson, the protege of Eve Gentry, in developing and refining the Core Dynamics program that embodies the Pilates method passed down by Eve since 1998.

Kevin has worked for the past 32 years specializing in helping individuals, and the health and fitness agencies serving them, achieve success.  He was the Co-founder, past President, and former Executive Director of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA).  Since its inception in 2001, PMA today seeks to establish the practice of teaching Pilates as a profession and has led the propagation of Pilates Teachers certification through CECs through Pilates Certification Program.  It is the first global community that help certify Pilates instructors.

Kevin is also the founder of the Pilates Miami studio and launched the Pilates Education Group teacher-training program.  He has been actively involved in the Pilates community for more than 17 years and has been a strong advocate of the many benefits associated from the Pilates method of exercise and the pursuit of a holistic lifestyle.  He also a strong proponent for fitness and wellness for men 40+ with the prime male program.

Kevin has appeared on numerous local television features in addition to CNN, the Discovery Channel, Pilates Style Magazine, and Ocean Drive Magazine, on top of being a contributor and author on numerous articles on the Pilates method. He is well-respected both in the United States and around the world as an authority for the Pilates industry.

Developing your Eye

In order to assess your clients and their ability to move well you must first be able to see well. Go beyond just looking at movement and develop your visual assessment skills to learn how to look at the human body and movement in a different way, one that will give you a deeper insight and understanding into what movement patterns may not be optimal for the body in front of you. Walk away with a refreshing perspective on sight, vision, seeing, moving, living and teaching movement, as well as equipment needs: Projector, Mats, Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair.

Pilates for the Mature Client

What is maturity? Is it related to the chronological age or the physical condition of any age group. Frailty does not necessarily mean mature or old. It refers to a loss of physicality and can relate to any age group that has suffered a disability or chronic disorder. It also relates to people who in the process of ageing have not paid enough attention to their physical well-being. The aim is to create an exercise regime based on the principles of Joseph Pilates that will help to attain improved posture, mobility strength and balance. One designing the programme the individual needs of the client must be taken into consideration.

Age, shape, posture, flexibility, proportions, experience, attitude, self esteem.  In creating a programme these differences need to be taken in consideration.  Looking carefully at the Pilates repertoire and deciding which exercises would benefit the client and which ones would not.
